Roundup some friends and have your own private group classes where you can all learn fun dance steps and technique at your own speed. Private group classes are more flexible because you can pick different days and times that work for all of you.
Showcases are a great goal to have to improve your dancing. A showcase is when you perform to a specific song, do choreography to that song, and you perform it at different events. When you do a showcase you get to pick the song and the theme that you want to have. You can do one that is in your comfort zone by doing a favorite song or you can go out of your comfort zone and do a theme that you wouldn't normally do. That way you can grow as a dancer and have fun dressing up and being a character. For example: Disco, Country Western, 80's, Disney Themes and More.
Dance competitions are a great way to work towards a goal. People feel like they accomplish more from their dancing when they have a goal set and can see how they achieved that goal. Plus, you get to go on vacation and get all dressed up and show off your moves. There are different levels and age categories at dance competitions so that you are dancing against people that are the same age and level as you.
